I've Subscribed but don't see the episodes updating, why?That most likely means that you are looking at the iTunes Music Store. ITunes only updates their feed every few days. You need to subscribe to our feed from in the music store and then you will be tied directly to our feed that we host on our site, not a cached version of the feed. You may have already subscribed, and that is fine. What you need to be looking at is the local Podcasts section of your iTunes Application. It should be on the left side of your iTunes right under Music, Movies, and TV Shows, then it goes Podcasts, Audiobooks, etc. So, if you click on the Podcasts selection, in this section, the iTunes Music Store is out of the picture and any podcast that you are subscribed to are linked directly from the podcaster's site. If you maximize the "Chikara Video Podcast-A-Go-Go" section you should see all our episodes including our newest episodes, you can always find out our latest episode from the "Show Notes" at Chikara Podcast dot Com. If you don't see the newest episodes then your preferences in iTunes might not be set to update on a frequent basis. No trouble, click the "Refresh" button in the lower right of the application. How do I Subscribe?Simply Click the subscibe link below. If you already have iTunes installed you will be taken to our page in the Music Store, if not you will be taken to a page that allows you to install iTunes. Once inside the Music Store simply click the "Subscribe" button near the Chikara Logo.
How do I get the Chikara Pod-Per-View?The Chikara PPV will only be available for a limited time. PPV 1 ended May 15th 2007, PPV 2 ended September 30th, 2007, PPV 3 ended January 6th 2008. Simply Click the banner below and you will be taken to a Paypal page. The Pod-Per-View is 2.99 US and will only be available for a limited time. You do not need a Paypal account in order to make a payment via Paypal. You will then be sent an e-mail with a link to the episode and a USERNAME and PASSWORD (check your SPAM or JUNK mail directory if you do not recieve a reply in a timely fashion). Please make sure you have the newest version of iTunes installed on your system before ordering, iTunes. I am a computer whiz and I use my own RSS Aggregator, what is the direct feed for your shows?Our Podcast-A-Go-Go RSS Feed is http://feeds.feedburner.com/ChikaraPodcast and our PPV Feed is http://feeds.feedburner.com/ChikaraPPV, you will still need to purchase the name and password for the PPV using the PayPal link. I clicked on the PPV Link in the e-mail (itpc://feeds.feedburner.com/ChikaraPPV) and nothing happened, what do I do now?If you have an application that might be blocking the link to your iTunes application you can always manually subscribe to the PPV Feed. 1. In iTunes click the "Advanced" pull down menu on the upper right. 2. Select the second option "Subscribe To Podcast..." 3. Paste in this URL - http://feeds.feedburner.com/ChikaraPPV 4. Enter your User Name and Password that you were supplied. 5. After the file downloads it will be in your Podcasts section under Chikara PPV. The PPV3 is xxMB instead of 170MB, how do I redownload the file?If connection to our server is interrupted during the download the file may be truncated, you will know the complete file did not download if the show is smaller than 170MB or less than 37 Minutes in length. Here are the steps in order to redownload the file. 1. Go to the PODCASTS section of your local iTunes LIBRARY. 2. CLICK on the incomplete "Chikara Pod-Per-View 3" file under the Chikara PPV Podcast Feed and DELETE that episode. 3. CLICK on the Chikara PPV Feed, in the lower left of the iTunes Window CLICK UNSUBSCRIBE. 4. You will notice that the Chikara PPV Feed now has a SUBSCRIBE button after the title, simply click SUBSCRIBE to restart the download of the file. (You may be prompted for your Name and Password again). I paid for the PPV and have not received my instructions, what gives?All e-mails regarding Name, Password and Instructions on how to access the PPV will be sent within 10 hours after receiving your payment. In most cases it will be sent within an hour. Check your "JUNK MAIL"or "SPAM MAIL" directory of you e-mail client to see if our reply ended up there. Make sure you do not block e-mails sent from ChikaraPodcast.com. Your Name and Password may be sent with an attachment of your original PayPal invoice, some ISPs might block this as a virus. If you paid for the show via a PayPal eCheck we will have to wait for the eCheck to clear (usually 4 days) before PayPal will allow us to send you the login and download information.
The link you sent me to the PPV is not working from my e-mail, what now?Some e-mail clients might strip out the embedded URLs, there also might be an issue where the e-mail client will parse the text in such a way to split the URL in half. Either way there are two methods to correct this. A. You can copy and paste this URL into your web browser - itpc://feeds.feedburner.com/ChikaraPPV (this might not be compatible with some browsres). B. You can follow the instructions to manually subscribe to the feed.
